Who we are

KASS Digital builds custom-coded websites. We are based in Sydney, NSW, and our ABN is 12 653 747 623. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean KASS Digital. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@kassdigital.com.au.

This policy explains what personal information kassdigital.com.au collects, why we collect it, which services help us handle it, and the choices you have. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, the standards for personal information set out in the Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect, and where

• Booking a call. Calls are booked through Calendly. Calendly collects your name, your email address, the time you choose and any answers you give on the booking form, and passes your name, email address and booking time on to us.
• The free website checklist. The checklist form on our homepage asks for your name, email address and business name. We use them to email you the checklist and a series of follow-up emails. Every one of those emails has a link to unsubscribe in one click.
• Diagnostic tools. Our diagnostic calculators ask for your email address before they show a full report, and you can add your business name. We keep your email address, business name, the figures you enter (such as a monthly retainer, ad spend, bookings, average spend, website visitors, content fees or views) and the grade the tool gives, and we email the report to you.
• Contact forms. If you fill in a contact form, we receive the details it asks for, such as your email address and business name, and use them to reply to you or prepare for a call.
• Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.
• Visiting the site. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager on kassdigital.com.au. Google Analytics records the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, and actions such as clicking a booking button, booking a call or sending a form. We do not send your name or email address to Google Analytics.
• Campaign details. If you arrive through a link that carries campaign tags (such as utm_source) or an ad click id, those details are kept in your browser's session storage for the rest of your visit, so a booking can be credited to the campaign that brought you. The campaign tags are passed to Calendly when you book and are sent to Google Analytics with the booking.
• Technical details. Like any website, our web host and our database host receive your IP address and basic browser details when your browser connects to them. When you send a form, your IP address is also used to limit repeated submissions.

You do not have to give us any personal information to browse the site. If you choose not to give your email address, we cannot send you the checklist or a diagnostic report.

Why we collect it

• To reply to you, prepare for and hold the call you booked, and send what you asked for.
• To send the checklist follow-up emails you signed up for, until you unsubscribe.
• To understand which pages and campaigns bring people to the site and which lead to bookings, so we can improve the site.
• To keep the site and its forms working, and to stop misuse.

We do not sell personal information.

Services that help us

These services run parts of the site for us. Each receives only what it needs for its part:

• Calendly, for booking calls. Its booking tool loads only when you point at or press a booking button, or scroll near a booking calendar.
• Google, for Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads (site statistics and ad measurement), Google Fonts (the typefaces on the site) and the Google Preferred Sources button in the footer.
• Supabase, which hosts our database and the functions behind our forms.
• Netlify, which hosts the website.
• Resend, which sends our emails, such as the checklist and diagnostic reports.
• Anthropic, whose Claude AI model writes the diagnostic report from the figures and business name you enter. Your email address is not sent to it.
• Vidalytics, which hosts the videos on our offer and industry pages, and YouTube, which hosts the videos in some of our notes. YouTube's player loads only when you press play, in its privacy-enhanced mode; until then the page shows a preview image from YouTube's image server. When a video player loads or plays, that service receives your IP address and browser details.

Some of these services may store or process information outside Australia. Their own privacy policies explain how they handle it. We may also share information where the law requires us to.

Advertising

This site's Google tag also sends visit and conversion information, such as page views and completed bookings, to Google Ads. We use it to measure our Google ads, and Google may use it to show our ads to people who have visited the site (remarketing). No name or email address is sent. You can control the ads Google shows you at myadcenter.google.com. If this changes, we will update this policy to say so.

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Session storage and local storage are similar, and live in your browser too. This site uses:

• Google Analytics cookies (named _ga, and _ga_ followed by an id) on kassdigital.com.au, to tell visits apart and count returning visitors.
• A Google Ads cookie (named _gcl_au) on kassdigital.com.au, and a matching local storage entry (_gcl_ls), so Google Ads can measure visits and bookings that come from our ads.
• Session storage for campaign details and, after you book a call, a booking reference used by the thank-you page. Both are cleared when you close the tab.
• Cookies set by Calendly, YouTube or Vidalytics when you use their booking tool or video player. Their own policies cover those.
• Local storage for your sign-in session, only if you sign in to a client area of the site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, or use a private window so they are not kept after your visit. Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop the site working, though the booking tool and video players may need their own cookies to work.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry, booking and email details while they are useful for following up with you and for our business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time. Google Analytics keeps its data for the retention period set in our Analytics account.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. No way of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through our forms.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@kassdigital.com.au from the address you used with us and tell us what you need. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, and we will reply within a reasonable time. If we cannot do what you ask, for example because the law requires us to keep a record, we will tell you why.

To stop our emails, use the unsubscribe link in any of them, or email us and we will take you off the list.

Questions and concerns

If you have a question or a concern about how we have handled your personal information, email hello@kassdigital.com.au and we will look into it. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) has information about privacy and how to raise a concern at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the services we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and changes apply from the day they are published here. Our Terms of Use cover the rest of how the site works.
